Preschool & Kindergarten Programs » Home

The Preschool and Kindergarten programs at St. Bernard School is child-centered and invites independent and group learning through exploration and investigation. In this environment we create a variety of opportunities which help to nurture each child's total development. Through this experience the child grows socially, emotionally, intellectually, spiritually, and physically.

The developmental curriculum incorporates a variety of learning activities. Through these activities the children develop a greater ability to learn from and understand their experiences, a heightened awareness of their personal worth and social responsibilities, a greater mastery over their physical environment, and a means for creative expression.

Our greatest emphasis is that of love -- of one's self, of family, of friends, and of community.

Providing a positive initial experience to school for children and parents.
Creating a hospitable, accepting environment that gives each child the opportunity to develop self-confidence and a positive self-image.
Following a program that balances an established routine for security with the chance to expand horizons.
Developing an awareness of God and fostering an atmosphere for the discovery of His love by respecting self and others.
