About the Teacher

Hello! My name is Mrs. Angela Lewandowski

I was baptized at St. Bernard Church.  Four years later I started nursery school at St. Bernard School and continued my education here until I graduated in eighth grade.  I have many fond memories of making friends, playing sports, and being driven academically by so many wonderful teachers.  It was this outlook on education that brought me to thinking about a career in the teaching profession.

I graduated Mount Lebanon High School in 2009 and received my Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education from John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio in 2013.  In my senior year at John Carroll, I was awarded the Francis T. Huck Award for exemplary education and excelling in my student teaching experience.

Immediately following graduation from JCU, I was hired by Kindercare Learning Center in Mount Lebanon as a lead toddler teacher.  After two years and earning my Prek-4 Pennsylvania Certification I was very lucky to be hired by St. Bernard School as one of their first grade teachers. This is my fourth year teaching first grade.

I am excited to give my students the education that I received while at this wonderful school.  It is here that I strive to create lifelong learners and instill a love for education and each other in my students.
