I am from Mount Lebanon, and am proud to say that I attended Saint Bernard school back in the day! I attended Mount Lebanon High School and after graduation, moved to southern California for college. I always knew I wanted to teach, so I figured, why not teach in CA? I graduated from Chapman University in 2012 with a BA in Liberal Studies Teacher Preparation. I then earned my CA state teaching credential that allowed me to teach from K-12 in the state of California.
After graduation, my sights were set on Italy. I got a job teaching English to Italian students for a six month stint. What a life altering experience that was!
After returning to the states, I came back to STB, where it all began. After working as an instructional aide and then a preschool teacher, I earned my K-6 PA state teaching license, and moved to the junior high level. I am now exactly where I was meant to be!
Recently my husband and I were married here at Saint Bernard. Though some highlights from our big day included having my husband's whole family come in from England, and hearing the angelic voices of the full parish choir, one of the most memorable parts of the day was seeing all of my students there in the pews.
I am truly blessed to be back here at Saint Bernard School.
